This is the first year that we have participated in all the great events that happens in dog blogville during the holidays. There are Gift Exchanges, Christmas Card Exchanges, Holiday Giveways, etc. All these wonderful events has kept our human very busy preparing all our gifts and cards. She believes that next year we need to start maybe in July to get this all accomplished in a timely fashion.
Jazzi's Christmas Exchange - Mailed on 12/14
We are very excited to be pawticipating in this pawsome event. This year we had the honor of buying some Christmas Pressies for our new blogging pals Sammie, Avalon and Ozzie. We finally got our human assistant to get on the ball, wrap these pressies and get them shipped. We are happy to report that she took them to work with her today (12/14) and mailed them off. Sammie, Avalon & Ozzie, don't be alarmed if you are not sure who they are from it will come with a return address of our human's work. They put their return addy on it not ours. We also shipped them all together but hopefully they knew how to keep them seperate in their packaging, since we were not allowed to supervise this.
Through this gift exchange we have also gotten to know DeBoy's who are going to be sending us a pressie. We can't wait to see what we get. This is just got be one of the funnest Decembers/Christmas we have had.
Pet Pals 2010 Holiday Exchange Cards - Mailed on 12/14
This is another pawsome holiday event we had our human assistant sign us up for. This year they had 87 blogging pals sign-up to pawticipate in the Holiday Card Exchange. Since this was our first time pawticipating in this exchange we decided to go ahead and send everyone on the list a card from us. Since we had some issues with creating the Holiday Card, thanks Winston. We got them in the mail a little late, so we hope everyone receives them before Christmas especially our Internationl blogging pals.
So far, we have receive more Christmas Cards than our humans (Fur Kids = 14; Humans = 1). We also have received a dozen or so E-Christmas Cards as well. These things are totally pawsome and we are going to use that feature next year for sure. This would allow us to take our normal postage fees and donate them to our favorite rescue. Everyone wins with that solution. So our human assistant is going to actually enter all the email addy's in the computer this year, so next year she just can edit or add to it. We had to give this suggestion to her since she waits tell the last minute to do everything. Seriously, what is a hound to do.
Santa's Secret - Mailed 12/14
Our human was also asked by Sally if we wanted to pawticipate in their gift exchange as well. So this year we are pawticipating in two gift exchanges. This one is a little different as we don't have a clue who we are receiving a gift from, it is a total surprise. Not like Jazzi's as we know who we were buying for and who we were getting gifts from. So we can't tell you who we are mailing our Secret Santa to until they receive it. We don't want to ruin the surprise for them.
Blueberry's Christmas Auction - Closed
Raised $1,451.30 out of the $1,500.00 needed
BLOGVILLE ROCKS
Then last but definately not last, we pawticipating in the Online Auction that was held to help assist in raising funds for our dear blogging pal Blueberry who was recently diagnosed with Cancer. The blogging community assisted in gathering the necessary funds Blueberry and her family need to get her the best treatment possible. Our paws are crossed for Blueberry to whip this terrible disease. You can read all about Blueberry and her family at the link above. We were able to get several very nice items from this auction and we can't wait to receive them. Also, thanks to Slimmer Pugs and to JD and Max for organizing and hosting this pawsome event.
Know we have completed most of our Christmas To-Do List we better get busy and help our human put up the Christmas Tree and Stockings or we won't be getting a visit from Santa Paws.
Sniffs,
Cleo, Winston and Amiee
