Today we are joining several blogging friends in supporting WORLD CANCER DAY.
Our family has/was touched by Cancer within the last year. I have lost 2 of my very best High School Friends (Dawn and Kristi) a dear family member (Tiffany) and several of my blogging friends have lost their fur-babies to Cancer. Gizmo over at Rottrover lost his battle with cancer shortly after we lost Cleo. Our friends KB and K over at Romping and Rolling In The Rockies are currently battling Cancer with her beloved heart dog, K. Unfortunately, there are countless other blog friends that have lost their beloved fur-babies and the list is way to long.
And tomorrow (March 20th) marks the 6 month anniversary of my beloved Heart Dog Cleo crossing to the rainbow bridge after her diagnoses with Cancer. Cleo, Momma misses you so much each and everyday, but we know you would be so proud of us for rescuing Bella and bringing her to our home. We believe she has just a little bit of your spirit in her, just to keep us on our toes.
Then a few weeks ago one of our bestest blogging friends and our blog designer Miss Judi was diagnosed with pancreas cancer and will begin treatments soon. We continue to send drool and paws crossed to our Miss Judi.
So won't you join us today in Supporting

What a great tribute. So many people have been touched by cancer in one way or another. I'm with you in thinking that part of Chloe's spirit is in Bella, just like I think part of my Barney's is in Fred! Chloe was such a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. Wish I'd known about this earlier... my book review could definitely have waited!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWe are right there with you. One day we hope we won't need a day like this.

Joining you as well. It hits us all one way or another. I still miss my Sadie dog who had cancer and passed over two years ago. I also really miss my sister who lost an eight year battle with Ovarian. Thanks for sharing and like the OP Pack said, hopefully one day we won't need a day like this.

This dread disease affects far too many people and animals...including my heart-dog, 'Maxdog'. Thank you for recognising the day and sharing it. (I didn't get my own act together in time)
