It then donged on me that we had a new "Pet Wash" just a few miles from the house. So we loaded up some towels, shampoo, brush, furminator oh and the camera of course. Loaded Rosie up in the BUV and off to the Pet Wash we went. We were so glad that when we arrived it was not busy and we did not have to wait.
Our local Pet Wash, do you have one of these near you?
The water trough to stand in
Whoa, lady you want me to step up there
Seriously, lets just get this over with and skip the pictures
Wet long haired dog
Did you say hair dryer?
Very anxious to go home
Oh my what an experience
Are we home yet
Overall it was a very good experience and we got out there with it only costing $13.00. They had shampoo, flea/tick, pet deodorizing, pet dryer, vacuum. Rosie didn't mind the bath, but did like that pet dryer but loved the vacuum. Not sure who came out wetter Rosie or me, but we will definitely be going back for sure.
Sniffs,
Rosie and HoundDogMom
P.S..Breakfast with the basset tomorrow
I keep hoping they will put one of those up near us. Our local car wash added a doggy wash, but it is nothing more than a bucket and a hose. :/

So glad Rosie survived her bath. Looks like a great place!!
ReplyDeleteWe did see some bassets at the pet show! Don't remember the name of the group.
Your pal, Pip
Wait, is Rosie staying with you forever? We missed something important! Big R has a dog wash inside, too, and it's about $10. It's over in Pekin, so not too far from you. I'm not a fan of baths for dogs being so easily accessible, though!

$13 is much better than $40+, especially if you don't mind doing it. Poor Rosie...Now she knows that blog star dogs have their personal and private business (including baths) splattered all over the internet.
ReplyDeleteHI Rosie
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place to take a bath how lucky you are to have your own personally washing station so close to near where you live. You looked very cute after your bath :)

How fun! There's a similar place by me that I have been hesitant to go too, but maybe we will check it out!
ReplyDeleteOh my just like a car wash. BOL great idea

That is cool! A local pet supply place has a pet wash area in the back of their store. It has regular grooming tubs and they supply everything you'd need! Much better than having to try and clean the dog hair out of my bathroom for sure!
ReplyDeleteWe think that it's great that your kids don't mind being bathed by you. It's probably way better and less traumatic than having a stranger do it and it costs less too.
ReplyDeleteYep, we have one of those by our house and Dog-zilla has been to it but NOT me!! I prefer the indoor spa!!
