Comment-A-Thon at Pip's Blog - In Memory of the Houston Pittie Pack

We recently heard the devastating news that last night there was a fire that destroyed the house of the Houston Pittie Pack. We heard from Mayzie "She tried desperately to get all the dogs out of the house but they were hiding under beds and in closets. She was only able to save Brinks and Bella. The rest – Guero, Coco Chanel, Tiger, Lucky and Shelby – are all now at the Bridge. Thankfully, all the humans were able to get out of the house safely."

Mayzie started a Chip-in, which is on the sidebar of our blog if you would like to make a donation to help assist them on getting back on their feet.  We know that there is nothing we can do or say that will bring back their beloved fur-babies, but we hope to maybe bring a little comfort to them with a some green papers.  If you can spare a dollar or two to help a wonderful family, then please click on the Chip-in link.

Pip is having a comment-a-thon through Sunday - for every comment left on his blog he will be donating $.50 to the Pittie Pack.

Please if you get a few extra minutes today please stop by Houston Pittie Pack blog and leave their family some words of encouragement, prayers I know they could sure use them right know.

RIP ---- Guero, Coco Chanel, Tiger, Lucky and Shelby – are all now at the Bridge

  1. Thanks so much for this post. Our hearts are just broken for this family. We almost canceled the Couch Potato Protest because it seemed so silly in light of this tragedy, but hopefully we will raise some money for the family and make a few people smile - as I know there is lots of sadness across blogville.

    Your pal, Pip

  5. I continue to be moved by all the people who have come together to show their support and love for Sandra and her family. I know we all wish we could turn back the clock and change what happened. But since we can't, at least we can help hold Sandra up during this incredibly tragic time.

  7. We visited Pip and we visited Sandra and chipped in, but it just doesn't seem like enough. Blogville is in mourning -- we've lost so many of our friends this year.
