Mom's New Computer

Mom finally got that new computer she has been wanting.  Of course it is not really new, but slightly used but she is just happy as a peacock.  We no longer here the pounding of that poor little thing they call a "mouse".  Heck I wouldn't work if someone was always jerking and slamming me around.  This wasn't one of her deals from Craigslist but a deal from the ads from her work.  They have a paper that everyone can post items for sale in and the day that her old one quit, someone had this new fancy one in the Alfi for sale at a very good price.  She asked the Human Kid what he thought and he said buy it before I do.  So here it is an HP 500GB hard drive 3meg memory (so it must be pretty smart).  And this awesome 22" widescreen monitor that she can't seem to take herself away from.  The thing is that she reads everyone else's blogs and comments but fails to update ours on a regular basis.  So today and this weekend we have her duct taped to the chair to make sure the blog gets updated.  So look for lots of new "outdated" posts from us.

She said that if you have never been on Craigslist you can get some heck of a deals, but must watch for them scammers.  We don't meet anyone at their house, always in a public place if possible.  HDM's Great Niece told her about this little website and oh my gosh, is she addicted to it.

New House On Wheels

Well here are some pictures of our house on wheels.  HDM says that this was the best deal that she found on Craigslist.  She is seriously addicted to Craigslist I am afraid.  You seen a small preview of it when HDM/HDD took it for a mini vacation to the races.  Of course, she still hasn't gotten the pictures off the old computer so we aren't in any of these new ones she took the other day.  If it every stops raining or being 105 we may get to go camping before the waddle in September.

This is the old house on wheels "the short bus" - 19ft very small cramped house on wheels.

This is the new "Long" House on Wheels - 26ft house on wheels and room for us!  As you can see it is huge compared to the old house on wheels.

The other side of the House on Wheels.

Kitchen Area - The table makes into a bed as well

Living Room Area - The couch makes into a bed as well I think this will fit me just fine for a bed. (Cleo)

Living Room looking to the back bedroom.  The potty room is between the to.

The back bedroom where the Humans will sleep (Maybe a fur-kid or too as well).  Winston is a big baby and has to sleep with HDM and HDD all the time.

Kitchen again

We are so hoping to get to try out this new house on wheels real soon.  We have nice new portable pens to sit up under the awning, we will be styling like the show dogs when we camp.

What We Didn't Get To Do This Past Weekend

Well I thought we could update everyone on what we didn't get to do this past weekend.

No Walks
No Sleeping With HDM & HDD
No Special Butt Rubs from HDD
No Camping

HDM and HDD took the new/used camper out this past weekend, without us.  All we have heard is how they bought this camper and we were going to start camping more.  Well we have found out how that whole thing works.  They went camping and left us home with our 2-legged brother, which is not a bad deal.  We still get feed twice a day, if we wake him up in the early morning.  We do get tummy rubs, lots and lots of treats.

Actually the plan was, before everything went haywire a few weeks ago, to allow myself (Cleo) to go camping for the first trip.  But HDM decided that since the three of us (Me, Winston, Amiee) were just getting back into the routine of things and starting to play more and not picking on each other.  She decided it was best to leave us all together instead of pulling me out of the pack.  See sometimes I can be a little moody when I get special one-on-one time with HDM and HDD, when I come back into the pack.  I have improved with this, but sometimes it is just hard to readjust.  Anyway, they went by themselves, HDM also said it was going to be like 90 degrees with 100% muggyness and possible rain 60% of the time.  I think staying home was a pretty good choice.  But here are a few pictures as to where they went on their camping trip.  This is also their wedding anniversary weekend (29), so we thought some alone time for them was okay.

Good Guys Nationals - Indianapolis, IN (June 11-13).
HDD in the white shirt, and Freind

This is something HDM and HDD have done every year since they have gotten married.  We are so glad we stayed home because it was Hot, Muggy when it was not Rainy.  Plus they don't allow fur-kids into the car show or anything so we would have had to stay in the camper most of the day.  They promise a camping trip in the next week or so with all three of us.  We have to get in practice since the Waddle will be coming up in September and we always camp for that.  This year Winston is going and Mom says he needs to have some of his skills sharpened up on before we attend.

We promise to have a posting of just the new camper that we got.  We have some first shots of when it was brought home of us checking it out, but they are on the old computer and we can't get to them right know.  It is being very hard headed and doesn't seem to want to do what HDM wants.  All she wants is her pictures moved to the new computer.  She will be getting the camera out and getting new pictures uploaded on the new computer for sure know that we just realized she has none to share.

Where Still Here

Cleo here,

Shhhhh....Don't tell Mom, but I sneeked on the computer today while she was at work.  I thought we might need to provide a little update.

We are doing good.  Just trying to get back in to a routine.  Taking a few more walks, but this is hard for Winston since he use to get two walks.  One with Amiee and Me and then one with Tabby.  So he howls after his first walk for a little while.  But he is doing better.  Winston and I are going to get our nails done tonight.  Yikes....  Probably won't get to walk much this weekend because it is suppose to RAIN all weekend.  Yuck....

Well better get down out of the chair before I get caught typing on Mom's new computer.  I am sure she will be telling you all about that great deal.  We sure have heard enough about it.

I am sure Mom will blog this weekend once she sees I had to fill in for her again.

Sniffs,

Tabby - At the Rainbow Bridge

In Memory of Tabitha (Tabby)
1999 – 2010

My Dearest Tabby,

You came in to our lives when you were 10 months old in 1999 after being abused and passed to 4 different homes in your puppy year. We found you “FREE” in the paper and called immediately then drove almost 60 miles to be the first ones there to claim you. We brought you home to Precious and Elliot (who have since passed), you walked through the house out the back door and it took the next 48 hours to convenience you it was safe to come back inside. We had no idea that you suffered from threshold shyness. But after 48 hours of being told, the house is yours go wherever you want, you finally tried it and never looked back. You were so well behaved and loving and just want the love returned, which I hope we accomplished in the 11 years that we had you in our lives.

You suffered the loss of Precious, had to endure having Miss “Attitude” Cleo brought into your life. You then suffered the loss of your mate Elliott and finally developed a bond with Cleo. You then endured the addition of Winston who made every attempt to chew your ankles off at a puppy, but then you too became the best of friends. And then with the addition of Amiee, who kept you on your toes with all her “in your face” barking. You were truly the best big fur-sister they could have asked for.

I will miss your huge bellow of a bark when I came home every night, your sweet tender disposition that you carried with you through the end, our long walks or speed walks when Winston was walking us. We know in our hearts you were greeted with open paws by Precious and Elliott and are running and giving lots of slobber kisses to them for me. We were so blessed to have you “pick” us to be you’re fur-ever family after all you endured as a puppy. For you to trust us and open your heart to us was amazing and we will treasure every day that we had you in our lives.

Cleo, Winston and Amiee are doing okay but Winston and Amiee are looking for you. As they sat outside till late in the evening just looking into the stars. I hope you sent them a sign so they know that you are okay and that we will all be together again one day, a day that we all can run free in the flowers and the meadows.

You are gone but never forgotten and will always remain in our hearts forever.
