Gift Exchange Pressie

Well finally the day came that our Mom decided we could open our Gift Exchange present that we got from pawticipating in Jazzi's gift exchange. We got gifts from Porter and Ernest (Two Scotties).

Here is the big box that came weeks and weeks ago for us

Something smells really good in here Mom

Help Please, Mom!
Can you get that sharp tool out that we cannot play with and help a guy and gal out

Oh, what do we have in here

We have hit the jack pot this Christmas.  We got a pink pig which is a huge hit with both of the hounds.  Winston actually brings it to us every time we come home to show us his Pink Pig.

We got fruitables (these are Amiee's knew found treat).  Winston is pretty picky and has decided to let Amiee enjoy this whole bag of treats herself.  Yum Yum, thanks Winston you are such a good brother.

Winston has decided to focus on the pig ears they received.  They have never experienced pig ears so this is a very special treat for them.  We actually cut them in half to start them out with, but they loved them.  Of course we have nothing put blurry pictures of them playing with the pig and eating pig ears.  And the card is just beautiful with them Scottie boys posing so nicely.

They were even sweet enough to send a little something for our Peep.  She got a very nice basset magnet (which she didn't have yet) and has proudly displayed it on the fridge with all the other magnets.

Another picture of Amiee's favorite treats.  She has almost hate the entire bag of these in just 4 short days.

We want to thank Jazzi for hosting the Gift Exchange, it is such a joy to meet new blog friends and to see our hounds get so excited with all the new things they get to try.

A huge THANK YOU to Ernest and Porter for sending us such awesome pawsome pressies.

Wordless Wednesday - 12/21/2011

These pictures were taken on Sunday, December 18, 2011.  The temp was 48 degrees, which is not normal for this part of Illinois this time of year.  We were enjoying it while we can and Mom says we can't complain.

Christmas Tree and Christmas Card Outtakes

We thought we do a post of our Christmas Tree along with the outtakes of our Christmas Card shoot.  It took a lot longer to get these pictures than I ever imagined and then the photo place was giving us a hard time.  But, believe us we did get our cards in the mail over the weekend so they will be arriving this week, hopefully by Christmas if not for the New Year.  They do say Happy Holidays on them so at least we covered both holidays in case we got them out late.  BOL.....

Oh, Christmas Tree.....Oh, Christmas Tree.....

Christmas Cards Have Arrived

Christmas Cards have been arriving at our house for the last week and a half.  Mom has just been sitting looking at them all, just amazed at the friends we have acquired while blogging.  Well this past weekend she decided to hang them all up to get the full picture of just how many we have gotten.  And oh my, we need a bigger wall.

The HoundDogs Christmas Card Wall

After we took these pictures we got another card in the mail from Jazzie and Addy.  This card was handmade by them and included a special Christmas ornament for our tree that their Momma made.

Thanks we love our ornament because our Mom loves Santa stuffs

Okay, know do you want the funny part of this whole post.  Check out our Peeps wall of cards.

Peeps Wall of Christmas Cards

Sorry Mom, taking more pictures of individual cards does not make it look like you got more than us.  BOL

Final Count so far:

The HoundDogs - 48 (40 snail mail; 8 ecards)

Peeps - 5

Comment-A-Thon at Pip's Blog - In Memory of the Houston Pittie Pack

We recently heard the devastating news that last night there was a fire that destroyed the house of the Houston Pittie Pack. We heard from Mayzie "She tried desperately to get all the dogs out of the house but they were hiding under beds and in closets. She was only able to save Brinks and Bella. The rest – Guero, Coco Chanel, Tiger, Lucky and Shelby – are all now at the Bridge. Thankfully, all the humans were able to get out of the house safely."

Mayzie started a Chip-in, which is on the sidebar of our blog if you would like to make a donation to help assist them on getting back on their feet.  We know that there is nothing we can do or say that will bring back their beloved fur-babies, but we hope to maybe bring a little comfort to them with a some green papers.  If you can spare a dollar or two to help a wonderful family, then please click on the Chip-in link.

Pip is having a comment-a-thon through Sunday - for every comment left on his blog he will be donating $.50 to the Pittie Pack.

Please if you get a few extra minutes today please stop by Houston Pittie Pack blog and leave their family some words of encouragement, prayers I know they could sure use them right know.

RIP ---- Guero, Coco Chanel, Tiger, Lucky and Shelby – are all now at the Bridge

We Won A Giveaway - Beethoven's Christmas DVD

Around Thanksgiving we entered a giveaway that was being hosted by Amazing Animal Lovers.  All we had to do was leave them a comment on how much we really wanted this DVD (Beethoven's Christmas) for our collection.  Well low and behold they drew our name as the winners.  Mom is beyond excitement to have this DVD added to her collection.

Well it arrived on Saturday and boy did she tear right into that package and dig that DVD out of their.  Of course, our Christmas Pressies from our gift exchange still sit waiting for us to open.

There was also a stocking full of toys included, which we totally forgot was coming with the DVD.  Don't tell Winston and Amiee but these are tucked back for them for Christmas.

Thanks, to Amazing Animal Lovers for holding this giveaway and espeically for drawing our names as the winners.

Sniffs,
The HoundDogs and HoundDogMom
